We can’t wait to welcome you through the gates of our Grade I listed Hall, and family home.
Where timeless history, contemporary twists, and unforgettable adventures await you.
To make your visit as enjoyable as possible, we’ve put together the following information to help you with your plans. Of course, if there’s anything else you need, please do contact us.
Taxis
Due to our countryside setting and the number of guests that will be departing at the same time, we recommend booking a taxi for the end of the evening in advance. Weddings and evening celebrations typically finish by midnight, and all guests are required to depart by 1am unless your hosts have expressly mentioned otherwise.
Local taxi companies that we recommend are:
Carz4u Taxis: 01270 588888
Westside Taxis: 01270 258888
Beeline Taxis: 01270656461
A-Line Taxis: 01270 584499
The historical main gates mean that vehicles over a certain size (10 feet), and especially coaches, can only gain access via an alternative non-gated entrance.
Do contact us for further details.
Parking
If you plan to arrive by car, entering “Dorfold Hall” or “CW5 8LD” into Google Maps, this should guide you to the main entrance.
Dorfold has parking on the estate for up to 100 cars. If you’re driving to us and then departing by taxi at the end of the evening, you’re invited to leave your car with us overnight and collect it the following day by 11am.
Stations & Airports
The quickest way to reach Dorfold Hall from London is by train. Board the fast train from Euston to Crewe and you’ll be here in an hour and a half. From Manchester, it’s just over half an hour to Crewe station, which is fifteen minutes from Dorfold.
We’re also easily reached from all main UK airports, where you can either catch a connecting train, arrange a taxi, or hire a car for your stay.
If you’d like recommendations, please do contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.
Accommodation
Dorfold can accommodate numerous guests in a series of sumptuous bedrooms and cottages. You’ll receive further details about your stay 5-7 days before your arrival, but do get in touch if you have any queries.
As an overnight guest, you’ll be treated to breakfast in the Hall, sourced from local produce– as well as our very own eggs from our Dorfold Dorfold hens and honey from our bee hives.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow four legged friends in the Hall or Cottages.
For those of you not staying with us we can recommend plenty of charming and conveniently located accommodation, to name but a few:

Access
Guests with disabilities or walking difficulties can be dropped off immediately outside most buildings. Please do ask for assistance from one of our members of staff when you arrive.
Disabled toilets are situated by the Clocktower and ramps are also available to reach some of the gardens. However, the nature and age of the Hall itself does mean that wheelchair access is unfortunately not possible.
Additional Info
Some final points to note before you visit us:
Someone from the Dorfold Team will be there to greet you on your arrival and help guide you.
For weddings and evening celebrations, it’s a good idea to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes ahead of time as there are no bar facilities available prior to the event.
We kindly ask that only fresh or freeze-dried petals are used as confetti, as these are biodegradable and much kinder to both the environment and the gardens.
In the event of inclement weather we would advise bringing an umbrella to move between spaces.
